National Ploughing Championships 2023

I was really looking forward to attending this event as I have never been before.

When we arrived, we almost got bogged in when we entered the car park. I can imagine there will be lots of cars needing to be towed out of the car park.

The rain had held off most of the morning but started again in the afternoon.

The place was packed, and the mud and puddles were unbelievable. Kids and adults up to their knees in mud but seemed to be enjoying the fun.

I was on the Veleco Faster and it was a breeze going over all that was ahead of me, puddles, muddy pits and ramps.

The Veleco Faster mobility scooter didn’t let me down. The problem was the crowds, everyone was just mad to push through the crowd.

They say the event is wheelchair friendly and as far as toilet facilities are concerned, they are but there is no way that a wheelchair or small mobility scooters could access many of the areas especially for food or drinks because they were off the lined walkways. If you were to venture into those areas, you would need to be towed out.

Luckily for me the Faster mobility scooter took it all in its stride!
